Echoes

The sudden mutation of COVID-19 in 2020 has yet again disrupted the order of human society. The impact of such disruption was particularly pronounced in a post-capitalistic world. Still, said the impact is objective, and it goes both ways: we cannot always explain the dramatic changes between humans and other species from the perspective of God; we are all protagonists in this narration. It's just that our interaction cannot be interpreted as interaction. Fate constantly changes silently among all species and in the latent layer, and such changes are a kind of cross-contamination.

I focus on dynamic words like migrating, flowing, purposeful, and regular running around in my series. The sudden mutation of COVID-19 in 2020 has had a significant impact on our social ecology. This is a sudden shock to the fate of mankind and indirectly affects other species. I selected three different species, humans, crows, and bees, to show the cross-contamination in my concept.

Since it is migration, the animals I choose are all in close contact with human society. The crow is drawn on torn copy paper, and the bee is made on a round transparent acrylic board. In the portrayal of the protagonist, I use language and voice. Here I quoted a poem "Echo" by Louis Glick, winner of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Literature. In verse, she realized the genuine relationship between herself and the world in which she lived at a very sober moment. They live together and die together, rather than being determined and isolated from each other. I read the poem aloud at the scene. The sound will be connected to a wind-driven device. The change of sound will cause a difference in the magnitude and direction of the wind. This changing wind will affect the floating painting on the wall, and The acrylic panels of large and small bees hung from the ceiling, which fluttered and twisted because of the wind, and the light interlaced and changed, forming a subtle, quiet and dynamic space.
